AYSO’s Vision is to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives. AYSO is child-first and child-focused. We are a soccer organization with happy, healthy kids as our passion. Every decision, every rule, and every program has “what’s good for kids” as its basis. Every child stepping on a soccer field for the first time can have fun. AYSO’s child-first approach also makes it one of the finest player development programs. Everybody likes to win, but developing successful players and people is fundamental in AYSO.  Our six philosophies separate us from other youth sports programs; Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship & Player Development.

• Everyone Plays! We mandate that every player on every team must play at least half of every game.
• Balanced Teams. Each year we form new teams as evenly balanced as possible-because it is fair and more fun when teams of equal ability play.
• Open Registration. Our program is open to all children between 4 and 19 years of age who want to register and play soccer.  Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for playing.
• Positive Coaching. Encouragement of player effort provides for greater enjoyment by the players and ultimately leads to better-skilled and better-motivated players.
• Good Sportsmanship. We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude and our program is designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.
• Player Development. We believe that all players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, in order to maximize their enjoyment of the game.

• AYSO Kickstart is a child-centered, entry-level program for players ages 3–6. Focused on non-stop movement, imagination, and play, it uses a "jamboree" format with small-sided games and no team standings. Parental participation on the field is encouraged to help create a fun, low-pressure environment.
• The AYSO U6 program is a fun, introductory soccer experience for children aged 4-5, focusing on fundamental skills, activity, and sportsmanship rather than winning. It features co-ed, 3v3 or 4v4 small-sided games with no goalkeepers, usually played for one hour on Saturdays. No scores or standings are kept. U6 plays regionally against other U6 teams.
• The AYSO U8 program is an introductory youth soccer division designed specifically for children aged 6 and 7. It emphasizes skill development, maximum player participation, and fun over competition. U8 plays regionally against other U8 teams.
• The AYSO U10 soccer program is a foundational division designed for children ages 8 and 9 to transition from basic play into competitive soccer. The program focuses heavily on player development, ball mastery, teamwork, and introducing key tactical rules in a supportive environment. U10 players begin to travel for games and may travel up to 1.5 hours away for games.
• The AYSO U12 program serves as a vital transition phase in youth soccer. It bridges the gap between small-sided play and the full-sized game by shifting focus toward advanced tactical awareness, technical precision, and faster decision-making. U12 is part of the United Rec Soccer League (URSL) based out of Frederick, MD. U12 players may travel up to 1.5 hours away for games.
• The AYSO U14 program is a competitive yet developmental youth soccer division designed for players aged 12 and 13. Rooted in the AYSO core philosophies, the program prioritizes player development, balanced teams, and guaranteed playing time over a win-at-all-costs mentality. U14 is part of the United Rec Soccer League (URSL) based out of Frederick, MD. U14 players may travel up to 1.5 hours away for games.
